Question: My message light is on and when pressed rings
another internal extension.
Answer:
The message waiting feature has been activated on your extension
by another user. To clear this feature:
Lift handset
Dial 700
Dial your extension number( e.g. 201)
Replace handset
Question:
I have set a system feature on my telephone by accident. How can
I reset the phone back to the default settings?
Answer:
To clear all features set on your telephone:
Lift handset
Dial 790
Replace handset.
Question : How do I set the telephone system time?
Answer:
From any display keyset phone, enter user progamming:
With handset down press the PROGRAM button and enter **1234
Enter program code 000
Press the SP-PHONE button twice
Press the TRANSFER button to clear current time
Enter new hour(two digits) in 12 hour format i.e. 09
Press the FWD/DND button
Enter the minute(two digits) i.e 06
Press the FWD/DND button
Press the AUTO-ANSWER/MUTE button to select AM or PM
Press the AUTO DIAL button to store the new time. A long beep (conformation
tone) should be heard.
Press HOLD then PROGRAM to come out of user programming (which
returns the phone to normal).
Question: My extension has stopped ringing on internal/external
calls.
Answer:
Check the following:
Has the phone got power to it, is it live, does it have lights
and/or a display?
Is the ringer volume turned down/off?
Is the FWD/DND button flashing? If so pick up the receiver and
dial 790 (extension data clear code).
Is the system in the correct mode(day/night)? Press the # key to
find out, the mode will be shown in the display. Dial 780 (with
the handset up) to put the system into Day Mode, 781 for night service.
Question : When I send a fax an internal extension
rings with the fax extension number in its display.
Answer:
The fax machine is dialling a number without first dialling a 9
to obtain a line.
Most phone (& fax) numbers dialled start with a 0.
Dialled internally, 0 is set by default to ring the reception extension,
usually 201.
Redial the fax number with 9 in front.
Question : When my phone is idle it occasionally
pops.
Answer:
Your phone has Background Music (BGM) enabled without a CD player
attached to the system. To turn BGM off press the HOLD button while
the phone is idle.
Question: My phone used to have the date and time
in the display, now it only shows the date, day and year. How do I
get it to show the time again?
Answer:
While the phone is idle press the * button.
Question: All of our phones have started ringing
on incoming calls where it used to only ring a couple of phones.
Answer:
The system may have been put into night mode by accident. Press
# on any display phone to see what mode the system is in.
If it is in night service, pick up the handset and dial 780 to
put the system back into day mode.
Question: Calls to my phone will not forward into voicemail.
Answer:
If you are using a digital phone (System Keyset):
From your phone press the SPKR button followed by the FWD/DND button
and dial 5 followed by the voicemail extension number (Usually 265).
If using a standard phone (SLT):
Lift the handset and dial 7105 followed by the voicemail extension
number (Usually 265), you will then hear a confirmation tone.
