Panasonic Legacy Systems

A Series

The A series is an analogue hybrid key system that supports four sizes of modular CCU (pre-configured). System-specific handsets (analogue keyphones and two wire handsets) available in 6 key standard phones, 12 key standard, and 12 key executive display phones.

The SBS is an analogue hybrid key system, supporting analogue lines only, the user can utilise analogue keyphones or two wire handsets. It is a modular system allowing expansion of incoming lines and extensions. Extra features such as trunk-to-trunk transfer on the SBS, and the ability to use the existing phones make the SBS an upgrade path from the A series.

Panasonic A Series A309

Initially configured as 3 lines x 5 extensions this system can be expanded to 3 lines x 9 extensions by adding an extra card. The first 5 extensions are keyphones and the next 4 can be keyphones or single line telephones (SLT) i.e. standard phones, cordless, answering machine or fax. Doorphone, conference, external paging adaptor also available with extra cards. This system only accepts analogue lines.

The Panasonic proprietary keyphones have three varieties: six button standard, twelve key standard and the executive display terminal. An Operator's DSS console is also available. At least one display terminal is recommended per system for programming purposes.

Panasonic A616

Bigger brother of the A309 accepts the same handset options. Initially configured as 4 lines x 8 extensions (all keyphones) this system can be expanded to 6 lines x 16 extensions by adding extra cards. The first 12 extensions are keyphones and the next 4 can be keyphones or single line telephones (SLT) i.e. standard phones, cordless, answering machine, extension bell or fax. Doorphone, conference, external paging adaptor also available with extra cards. Music on hold port installed as standard, just plug in a music source (usually a CD player). This system only accepts analogue lines.

Panasonic A824

Initial configuration is 6 lines 12 extensions. Maximum capacity 8 lines 24 extensions.

Panasonic A1232

Comes as 8 lines 24 extensions can be expanded to 12 lines 32 extensions.

Upgrade Path:

The Panasonic KX-TDA and new KXTEA & S range are the upgrade paths for the A-Series & Panasonic SBS.

DBS & S-DBS

Panasonic DBS:

The Digital Business System (DBS) range is a hybrid system allowing both digital key telephone and analogue telephone handsets. There is a range of three cabinet sizes. DBS38 , DBS68 and DBS90. These can be used individually or combined with a second DBS90 to give a range of systems DBS38, DBS68, DBS90, DBS128 (DBS90+DBS38), DBS158 (DBS90+DBS68) and DBS180 (DBS90+DBS90).

The CPC-C Card for ISDN provides all the above facilities and adds the following:

  • DASSII Primary Rate ISDN

  • Direct Dial In (144 Numbers)

  • Calling Line Identity On ISDN

  • Call Charge Information On ISDN Lines

The CPC-EX card provides ISDN and E&M/AC15A networking along with the facilities above and the following:

  • Trunk To Trunk Conference

  • Trunk To Trunk Transfer

  • External Call Forward

  • Internal / External Ring Priority

  • DISA Break Out

  • CLI Name Look Up

Panasonic S-DBS:

The SDBS is an analogue hybrid key system that is available in two, pre-configured, system sizes: the S-DBS308 & the S-DBS616. Both systems support analogue keyphones and two wire handsets on analogue lines only.

Upgrade Path:

The Panasonic KX-TDA is the upgrade path for the DBS & S-DBS.

ICX & S-ICX

A compact, digital, hybrid PABX, the S-ICX has eight digital extension ports built in, and can grow to accommodate a further 48 digital handsets. When your business and your telecommunication needs grow, the S-ICX - based on a high Density Backplane - will still be your best solution, able to expand from its original 8 extensions to 132 ports.

Here's just a few of the cutting-edge features of this system:

Supports a larger phone base.
The ICX is expandable from 96 ports (per cabinet) up to 576 ports (6 cabinets total). The maximum port configuration for each cabinet can range from 0 trunks + 96 extensions, to 96 trunks + 0 extensions.

Simple cabinet structure.
The two types of cabinets - base and expansion - have exactly the same card slot structure, so there's no confusion where to install cards. Many of the parts in these two cabinets are also the same.

Upgrade Path:

KXT

The KXT is an analogue hybrid key system that supports digital keysets and analogue handsets. It can use analogue lines only. It originally came pre-configured in 3 sizes, with one modular expandable system. All four systems need at least one featurephone, the KXT 7130E for programming purposes. The system supports LCR, door intercom/opener, call hold and transfer, flexible incoming ring on extensions, call barring,100 number speed dial, paging, intercom. Display phone need 4 wires to each socket whilst 2 wires are needed for basic POT extensions.

Panasonic KXT308:

The KXT 308 is a 3 line plus 8 extension analogue hybrid system.

Panasonic KXT616:

The KXT616 is a 6 line and 16 extension hybrid key system.

Panasonic KXT1232:

KXT1232 shown right is a 12 line plus 32 extension system.

Panasonic KXT-TA624:

KXT-TA624 is a 6 line and 24 extension system.

KXTD

The Panasonic KX-TD Family Panasonic has three KX-TD products; Panasonic KX-TD612, KXTD816 & KXTD1232. The KXTD range is made up of digital hybrid key systems that can run on analogue or digital lines, ISDN2 and ISDN30 primary rate channels available. Systems come pre-configured and are modular to allow expansion, and support both analogue and digital extensions.

Panasonic KX-TD816:

The KX-TD816 is supplied 0 lines, 8 extensions. It can be expanded to a maximum of 8 lines, 16 extensions. Expand up to 32 extensions using XDP or connecting the ISDN30 module, 8 channels of Primary Rate ISDN30. In addition, 4ccts of analogue lines or 4 channels of ISDN2 (Basic Rate) total line capability is 12.

Panasonic KX-1232:

The KX-1232 is supplied 0 lines, 16 extensions. It can be expanded to a maximum of 12 analogue/ISDN2 lines, 32 extensions. Expand up to 64 extensions using XDP. Connecting an ISDN30 module gives the user 30 channels of Primary Rate ISDN30. In addition, 8ccts of analogue lines or 8 channels of ISDN2 (Basic Rate) total line capability is 38. Single or twin cabinet available.

The Panasonic KX-TDA is the upgrade path for the KXTD.
