Toshiba CTX, CT, DK280, DK40 telephone system
Question:
How do I set the time?

Answer:
From port 000 (Usually Reception or extension 200):
Press the SPKR button followed by #652
Enter the time in the following format HHMMSS (The hour must be in 24 hour format)
Press redial button (DK280/40/CT) or # key (CTX) to store the new time
Press the SPKR buton to finish

Toshiba CTX, CT, DK280, DK40 Voicemail problems

Question:
When a call to your phone forwards to voicemail it goes into someone else’s mailbox.

Answer:
From your phone press the SPKR button followed by #656 91 XXX redial. (XXX= your ext no.)
If using a standard phone (SLT): From your phone pick up the handset and dial #656 91 XXX #. (XXX = your extension number)
This resets the call forward voicemail destination to your mailbox, removing any corrupt entries.

Toshiba CTX, CT, DK280, DK40 Voicemail problems

Question:
When I press the message key to retrieve a message from the voicemail, I go into the wrong mailbox.

Answer:
From your phone press the SPKR button followed by #657 92 XXX redial (XXX= your extension number).
If using a standard phone (SLT): From your phone pick up the handset and dial #657 92 XXX #. (XXX = your extension number)
This resets the message reply path to voicemail, removing any corrupt entries.

Toshiba CT, DK280 & DK40 Voicemail problems

Question:
Calls to my phone will not forward into voicemail.

Answer:
If using a digital phone (system keyset):
From your phone press the SPKR button followed by #604 YYY Speed dial (If you do not have a speed dial button use * instead) ZZ Redial.

If using a standard phone (SLT):
From your phone pick up the handset and dial #604 YYY * ZZ #

YYY= Ext no. of the voicemail.
ZZ= Delay time in seconds you want the call to go to voicemail if not answered (Usually 15 is about right)

Question:
My message light does not go out after I have retrieved my messages from voicemail.

Answer:
Press the message key again to check that no one else has left you a message, as all extensions on the system can leave message lights on your phone.
If you are taken into voicemail again hang up and do the following:
Press SPKR #409.
This will clear one message at a time, so if there are three messages left on your phone, dial #409 three times.

Question:
How do I program extension names?

Answer:
If using a digital phone with a display (System keyset): Press the SPKR button followed by #621
Press the # key to convert from numbers to letters
Press the numeric key that has the letter that you want to use on it, then press 0 to scroll through the 3 letters available (use 1 for Q, Z and space, use * to go back a space)
When you have finished entering the name press the SPKR button to store.
If using any other type of phone the name must be programmed from port 000 (Usually Reception or extension 200):
Press Mode followed by 70
Press the SPKR button followed by #621
Press the Page button
Enter the Extension Number of the phone you want to change the name on
Press the Page button again
Press the # key to convert from numbers to letters
Press the numeric key that has the letter that you want to use on it, then press 0 to scroll through the 3 letters available (use 1 for Q, Z and space, use * to go back a space)
When you have finished entering the name press the SPKR button to store
Press Mode followed by 71

Question:
How do I program System speed dials?

Answer:

From port 000 (Usualy reception or extension 200):
Press the Redial button with the handset down
Press the Speed Dial key and enter the speed dial location number (600-999)

To program a name for the speed dial press the Mode key
Press the # key to convert from numbers to letters
Press the numeric key that has the letter that you want to use on it, then press 0 to scroll through the 3 letters available (use 1 for Q, Z and space, use * to go back a space)
When the name is complete press the mode key again

Now enter the telephone number (remember to prefix with 9)
Press Redial to store

Question:
How do I program System speed dials?

Answer:
From port 000 (Usualy reception or extension 200):
Press the Redial button with the handset down
Press the Speed Dial key and enter the speed dial location number (200-999)
To program a name for the speed dial press the Mode key
Press the # key to convert from numbers to letters
Press the numeric key that has the letter that you want to use on it, then press 0 to scroll through the 3 letters available (use 1 for Q, Z and space, use * to go back a space)
When the name is complete press the mode key again
Now enter the telephone number (remember to prefix with 9)
Press Redial to store

How do I program personal speed dials?

Answer:
If using a digital phone (system keyset): Press the Redial button with the handset down
Then press the Speed Dial key
Enter the speed dial number (10-49)
Press the Mode key
Press the # key to convert from numbers to be letters
Press the numeric key that has the letter that you want to use on it, then press 0 to scroll through the 3 letters available (use 1 for Q, Z and space, use * to go back a space)
When the name is complete press the mode key again
Now enter the telephone number (remember to prefix with 9)
Press Redial to store
If using a standard phone (SLT):Lift the Handset and dial # 66
Press *
Enter the speed dial location number (10-49)
Then enter the telephone number (remember to prefix with 9)
Then press # to store

Now enter the telephone number (remember to prefix with 9)
Press Redial to store
If using a standard phone (SLT):Lift the Handset and dial # 66
Press *
Enter the speed dial location number (10-49)

Toshiba CTX Voicemail problems

Question:
Calls to my phone will not forward into voicemail.

Answer:
If using a digital phone (system keyset):
Press the SPKR button followed by #6041 YYY "Speed dial" (If you do not have a "speed dial" button use * instead) then ZZ Redial.

If using a standard phone (SLT):
Pick up the handset and dial #6041 YYY * ZZ #

YYY= extension number of the voicemail.
ZZ= delay time in seconds before you want the call to go to voicemail if not answered (usually 15 seconds is about right).

How to Change the Time on your Toshiba Strata Telephone System

Answer:
The following instructions will allow you to change the time on your Toshiba Strata telephone system. If you are at all unsure of the process, please contact your maintenance service provider who will be able to assist you with changing the time.
The process for changing the time on your system depends on which Strata telephone system you have installed. Please check your documentation to ensure you follow the correct procedure.

For Strata CIX and CTX

The following procedure can be conducted from any phone attached to the Strata CIX system:

To set the date
1. Dial #651, with the handset on-hook. You hear a confirmation tone.
2. Enter the date (YYMMDD).
3. Press #. You hear a confirmation tone.
4. Press Spkr. The telephone returns to the idle mode.

To set the time
1. Dial #652, with the handset on-hook. You hear a confirmation tone.
2. Enter the time (HHMMSS) in the 24-hour clock format (H=hour, M=minutes and S=seconds), using leading zero’s. For example:
  • 6:05 and 30 seconds AM = 060530
  • 2:30 and 45 seconds PM = 143045
3. Press #. You hear a confirmation tone.
4. Press Spkr. The telephone returns to the idle mode.

For Strata CT and DK (excluding DK16) systems

For Strata CT and DK systems, the procedure above must be conducted on the lowest extension from the system (usually 200).

For Strata DK16 systems

For Strata DK16 systems, the following procedure must be performed on the lowest extension from the system (usually 200):

To set the date
5. Dial 651, with the handset on-hook. You hear a confirmation tone.
6. Enter the date (YYMMDD).
7. Press #. You hear a confirmation tone.
8. Press Spkr. The telephone returns to the idle mode.

To set the time
5. Dial 652, with the handset on-hook. You hear a confirmation tone.
